About the role

As a key member of the Fixed Plant Maintenance Execution team, you will supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient operations. In collaboration with the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent, you will ensure maintenance activities on the plant, equipment and utilities under accountability are safely executed against schedules, plans, and specified standards and consistently deliver on its planned maintenance targets on a shift by shift basis.

Other accountabilities include:

  • Manage the planning and execution of unplanned work and the re-scheduling of the existing work orders as required
  • Manage contractors within the approved Contractor Management Framework to ensure efficient and cost effective use of resources
  • Ensure timely evaluation and scoping of work requests prior to approval for the work management planning process
  • Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to 1SAP processes and work instructions, and the entering of the relevant transactional data in 1SAP


About you

With excellent problem solving skills, you will be successful in driving continuous improvement of plant performance. Leveraging off your previous leadership experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, you will coach and support the mechanical team to drive high performance.


You will possess a Mechanical Engineering qualification at the trade, diploma or degree level and have a detailed knowledge of activities related to operating and maintaining mining equipment.   Additionally, you will have a demonstrated ability to work in accordance with stringent safety policies and guidelines, and possess a sound understanding of Operating Excellence principals.  A Valid manual C Class Drivers Licence is essential.

Energetic and driven, you work well under pressure bringing a high attention to detail and the consistent ability to meet multiple deadlines.

Your technical strengths will be complemented by excellent communication skills.  Proactive, credible and influential, you relate well with people, communicating confidently and building strong working relationships with key stakeholder. 


You will be based at our 'Yandi' mine on a fly-in fly-out 14/7 (7, Days, 7Nights, 7Off) roster.  Yandi is located approximately 170kms North of Newman West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, squash, tennis and basketball courts, golf driving range, mini golf, netted cricket pitch, beach volleyball court and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, internet, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
