About the Role
Our operations are part of a fully integrated Nickel business Unit of which all operations are critically interdependent. In this environment, maintenance reliability, equipment capability, compliance to business process and an ongoing focus on cost effectiveness is critical. The success of the Cliffs Mount Keith Operation and our ability to extend the life of this asset is closely linked to the effective application of preventative maintenance, uptime analysis, cost reduction and the effective application of capital.
In this context, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the leadership and development of their team in the maintaining of all mobile equipment, working with the highest priority to safety at all times, striving to complete work within agreed time frames and in doing so, supporting the Mount Keith Nickel Operation by being industry leaders in maintenance.
You will be responsible for managing a dynamic and enthusiastic team ensuring that all designated work operations are carried out and that this maintenance will be performed in a safe and cost effective manner ensuring the continuity of the mine and its operation.
- Currently employed in a similar role with a solid history of leading a team
- Trade Qualified in an Engineering, Mechanical or Technical discipline
- Post-Trade qualifications will be well regarded
- High levels of experience with Cat, Atlas Copco , Liebherr , Komatsu machinery essential
- Demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with 1SAP desirable or knowledge of modern maintenance planning concepts and computerised maintenance planning systems
- Sound time management, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to develop and mentor team members
- Strong commitment to maintaining operational disciplines and meeting agreed targets
- A current manual Australian driver's license

Nickel West Mt Keith
Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields. Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with an open pit and concentrator plant. The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna. There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool – or join in a game of footy. BBQ dinners are regularly held and other social activities include movie nights. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or form regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.
