About the role

In this varied role you will develop administration experience and gain a Certificate III in Business Administration.  Reporting to the Housing Superintendent and mentored by key member of the administration team, your duties will include (but not limited too):
  • Assisting with reporting;
  • Responding to emails and answering calls;
  • Supporting the Housing Superintendent on adhoc projects;
  • Taking meeting minutes;
  • Updating database records; and
  • Raising maintenance notifications

About You

Ideally you have completed your year 12 studies where you have developed a level of computer literacy and some knowledge of Word and Excel would be beneficial.  You are a self-starter who has good communication and works well in a team.  It is necessary that you have a strong attention to detail and are motivated to provide good customer service and it is desirable that you currently hold a learner’s permit however this is not essential. 

Location

In this residential role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.  The 20,000-strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities.

The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife.  Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.
