About the role

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the BHP Legal team where you will work with the Head of Iron Ore and Nickel West Legal to provide high-level administration support.  This is a part time position (Wed-Fri) and working within a job sharing arrangement.

In this role you will be responsibilities for:
  • Diary management to enable the efficient organisation and execution of daily activities for the Head of Iron Ore and Nickel West Legal;
  • Scheduling meetings, as well as preparing agendas, presentations and reports, minute taking, coordinating attendance, logistics, video-conferencing and teleconferencing as required;
  • Managing travel arrangements;
  • Email management;
  • Using SAP and Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker for purchasing (POs/ PRs), accruals and expense reconciliation;
  • Liaising with external law firms on billing and other communications;
  • Working closely with the Iron Ore and Nickel West Legal to identify time optimisation solutions to forward plan work in respect to arrangement of meetings, preparation for meetings, and coordination of travel; and
  • Assisting with any other ad hoc duties. 

About You

You will be an experienced Administrator who has previously supported Senior Executives in a large organisation. It is important that you have a proven ability to work autonomously, proactively able to establish priorities and meet time critical deadlines.  Your strong communication, problem solving and organisational skills will be an asset, as will your attention to detail and your talent to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. 

You will be an advocate for leveraging digital technologies to enable collaboration and the simplification of tasks, and possess strong knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Sharepoint and Video Conferencing.  Previous experience with SAP would be beneficial.
