The Standardised Work Program is part of the BHP Operating System and focuses on deploying the practice of “Standardising Work Processes and Ensuring Quality”.  Standardised Work deployments have been scheduled across BHP globally and will be deployed using a combination of dedicated Standardised Work Coaches and operational personnel. 

About the role

Reporting to the Manager BOS Standardised Work - Deployment Services, the primary purpose of the Standardised Work Planning & Performance Specialist is to support the successful delivery of the Standardised Work program through the establishment/application of program management rigour and the effective analysis of program value data.

Core accountabilities include:  
  • Establish, embed and manage program management principles and processes across the program, informed by program management best practice;
  • Establish and embed core routines at the Program level;
  • Provide administration support to the weekly Program Lead Team and Deployment Lead Team meetings;
  • Monitor and report on progress regarding SWA milestones, activities and realisation of benefits;
  • Perform detailed analytics on captured program value data and forecast future benefit opportunities;
  • Provide advice to the Head of BOS Deployment – Standardised Work regarding major scope/schedule changes;
  • Produce routine reports for the Program Lead Team that provides visibility of progress, issues and benefits;
  • Produce routine reports for Executive level audiences; 
  • Track and facilitate active management of program actions and issues;
  • Monitor and coordinate program document management with the assistance of the Team Administrator; &
  • Provide ad hoc support to the program as required.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is highly engaging, organised and analytical.  As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following;
  • Strong competence in project management activities (scheduling, financial management, reporting) and developing associated project schedules;
  • Experience in developing Project Plans;
  • Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and time management skills; 
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholder groups (across various locations and timezones) to collect quantitative and qualitative information;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with ability to synthesise complex information for technical and business audiences;
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of each site operation and integrate with the relevant site business processes; &
  • Strong analytical skills to interrogate project data and value drivers to recommend improvements to program delivery.
