We are currently looking for experienced Charge-Up Operators to join our growing Underground Mining Team at Olympic Dam

Reporting to Underground Mining Supervisor, Charge-Up Operator is responsible for undertaking all blasting activities to ensure that targets are reached in a safe and efficient manner. Duties include the preparation and charging of blast holes along with coordinating other charge up personnel. 

The Charge-Up Operator will also be required to assist in other underground production & development tasks when not performing charge up activities.


About You

  • Demonstrated experience in working in a hard-rock underground operations as a Charge-Up Operator;
  • Blasting Explosives License (Worksafe SA)
  • Proven excellent safety track record and commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of the team;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Current SA Driver’s License
