About the role

We are currently seeking a Condition Monitoring Technician to join our team at Eastern Ridge. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the execution and continuous improvement of the Condition Monitoring program using a variety of predictive maintenance technologies such as; vibration analysis, oil analysis, acoustic emissions, and ultrasonic testing. The role will also require some relevant Condition Monitoring fitting work, including installing and maintaining remote accelerometer systems.

With this role you have the choice of either being fly-in fly-out from Perth to Newman on an 8 days-on 6 days-off roster, or residentially based in Newman on a 5&2 or 8&6 roster. 

You’ll be working at Eastern Ridge mine site, which is made up of several deposits and contributes to the overall ore production of the Newman Joint Venture hub. The 7,000 strong population of Newman enjoys well-established town facilities including a newly revitalised town centre and sporting facilities.  As a gateway to the Karijini national park, you will be in close proximity to spectacular gorges, water courses and stunningly unique landscapes.

About You

Due to COVID-19 and corresponding border closures across Australia, you ideally must be located in Western Australia or be prepared to move to Western Australia for this opportunity.  Further information will be provided throughout the recruitment process.

We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about continuous improvement of systems/processes and equipment health, coupled with strong time management and prioritization skills.

To be considered for the role you’ll need;
  • A mechanical or electrical trade or engineering qualification
  • A minimum, C class manual driver’s licence
  • Demonstrated experience with fixed plant rotating equipment
  • Cat 2 vibration analysis qualification
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainability.

The below skills and experience are desirable, however, we’re happy and able to support you with training and development in these areas;
  • Exposure to oil analysis
  • Cat 1 thermography qualification
  • Ultrasonic thickness testing experience
  • Experience with CSi equipment hardware
  • Experience installing and maintaining remote accelerometers
