About the role

With an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development the successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks;
  • Supervision and monitoring of contractor work groups.
  • Reviewing weekly & daily track maintenance possessions against 1SAP work management plan for ultrasonic testing, structures & culverts and rail grinding activities.
  • Provide an effective line of communication between contractor teams and ensure planned work is executed safely.
  • Management and recording of defects within 1SAP and compliance to relevant BHP procedures.
  • Review daily work logs and compliance reports for accuracy.
  • Ensuring contractors adherence for the safe delivery of work
  • Attend planning meetings and follow up on actions for a deliverable plan.
  • Perform field leadership to meet KPI’s for CCO’c PTO’s and TTT’s.

You will be based at Port Hedland on a fly-in fly-out or residential 8:6 roster. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.   The outstanding facilities at the FIFO villages include; a fully equipped gym, TV lounge and games rooms. Additionally you will have access to the state of the art aquatic and sporting facilities in the town of Port Hedland. All rooms at the villages have their own en-suite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning. 

About You

As the successful applicant you will possess the following:
  • Current full West Australian “C” class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license.
  • Experienced in 1SAP work management. 
  • Knowledge of rail network desirable. 
  • Work well in a team environment and ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
  • Support planned/scheduled activities for operations
  • Contractor management.
