About the role

In this role you will:
  • Support full implementation of Contractor Management Framework and Coal Mining Safety and Health Legislation at Poitrel / RMI
  • Support Contract and Vendor owners to achieve compliance with SHMS requirements for Contractor Management
  • Monitor and report on compliance with on contract and off contract requirements for assigned departments
  • Act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for CMF support and guidance for assigned departments
  • Facilitate pre-mobilisation meetings, regular HSE / Contract Meetings and demobilisation meetings (including agendas and minutes)
  • Monitor and support compliance with monitoring and verification plans including meetings, field leadership activities etc.
  • Liaise with Cost Control Coordinator to identify opportunities for off-contract vendors to be moved to Outline Agreements and initiate process
  • Work with Contract / Vendor Owners and Supply Representatives to ensure non-compliances, failure to meet HSE / Performance targets and potential issues relating to contractors, are identified and documented, and provide support to manage as required
  • Monitor for any potential scope changes that may be indicated and ensure relevant requirements are met before continuation of work
  • Liaise with Supply Representatives to support contract creation and updates
  • Ensure changes in Contract / Vendor Ownership, requests for non-compliance letters / unsafe act notices, potential legal matters and other issues or concerns are escalated to Lead Contract Management
  • Govern and control site Contract Management documentation to ensure accurate records
  • Review contractor submitted documentation for completion, accuracy and currency
  • Ensure contractors and sub-contractors understand and comply with reporting requirements
  • Monitor accountable supervision for adequate knowledge of scope of work and risks and controls


About You

The role has a strong safety and compliance focus, and supports Poitrel’s maintenance and CHPP teams with the management of contractors under the BHP Contract Management Framework.

  • Good communication, interpersonal and people management skills with a range of audiences
  • Ability to build positive and constructive relationships and creditability with stakeholders – including leadership, contract partners and supply
  • Thrives on processes with a positive, solution focused attitude
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills including time management capability;
  • Flexible / adaptable – able to work with and in changing environments and work requirements
  • Works well autonomously but also collaboratively
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Qualifications and / or experience in contract administration / management, supply or safety would be well regarded
