About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Reliability, your role will be to sustainably improve conveyor equipment performance; focusing on defect elimination, monitoring and controlling of the maintenance process/systems and local equipment strategies.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Governance of local maintenance strategies;
  • Conducting root cause analysis investigations and leading defect elimination projects;
  • Preparation of the maintenance budget based on equipment strategies;
  • Monitoring and analysis of maintenance performance metrics and implementation of projects to close identified performance gaps;
  • Management of a portfolio of local maintenance improvement initiatives;
  • Populating local capital portfolio;
  • Monitoring and analysis of work management metrics;
  • Monitoring and control of equipment asset integrity and statutory compliance inspections.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic, driven and output focused individual with highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective business partnerships. You will possess either an engineering (preferably mechanical) qualification or relevant demonstrated ‘on the job’ experience. Excellent analytical/problem solving skills will be integral to success in this role. A desire to be part of a high functioning team environment, driven to achieve business critical outcomes is essential.   In addition, you will advantageously have the following:  
  • A passion for safety with a strong commitment to health, environmental responsibility and sustainable development;
  • 1SAP knowledge and skills;
  • Root cause analysis experience;
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills;
  • Ability to identify value adding initiatives through data analysis;
  • A consistent focus on continuous improvement;
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role focused on Reliability desirable;
  • Project management process knowledge/skills desirable;
  • Experience with applying precision maintenance desirable.
