About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Project Controls you will oversee and manage the logistics activities of the shutdown project (prior to and for mobilisation, during the shut & for demobilisation) with regard to requirements for premises (office facilities/equipment/appliances, fencing, tooling, safety equipment, on site stores ensuring compliance to site rules/regulations), ground and air transportation, inventory management, transport & repair of equipment/inventory, record keeping, fuel issues accounting and disbursements. 

Responsibilities will include:
  • Developing the mobilisation, execution and demobilisation logistics plan;
  • Coordinating logistics activities in accordance with the logistics and site plan;
  • Coordinate all emergent work transport activities;
  • Provide specialist advice and execute inventory planning activities that enable planned work at the shutdown to be scheduled and executed as planned;
  • Assist & manage shutdown equipment, tooling, chemical & consumables supply, storing, maintenance, site compliance & inventory levels;
  • Coordinate with Supply to expedite delivery of materials when schedule changes cannot be accommodated or based on the criticality of work;
  • Create/standardise templates/procedures to ensure the efficient, safe & most cost effective way to manage all logistical requirements relevant to the project.

About You

You will have previous warehouse, parts management or logistics experience with excellent organisational and problem solving skills.   Ideally, you will also possess:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work well as part of a team, and deliver results;
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure;
  • Manual drivers licence required;
  • Forklift licence desirable.
