Our Operations: One of Australia’s largest mines and a complex minerals processing operation, Olympic Dam, is unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. About the role

As a member of the Fixed Plant Maintenance Team you will be active in coordinating major maintenance activities at the Mine, by adhering to operating requirements, maintenance schedules and striving to achieve individual, team and site objectives as directed.   In this role you will:
  •  Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations;
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development;
  • Define, plan and manage execution of routine and 1-off major maintenance activities at the mine;
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with various contacting groups to ensure safe and efficient task planning and execution;
  • Develop a close working relationship with mine departments to ensure work activities are coordinated across multiple operating disciplines;
  • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Superintendent on job progress.

About You

  • A proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way;
  • Proven ability to follow processes and procedures and conduct risk assessments;
  • Be focused on working collaboratively to achieve results;
  • Demonstrated experience in previous leadership or supervisory roles;
  • Ability to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines;
  • A valid driver’s license, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle;
  • Confident using maintenance management systems including SAP based programs.
