About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Production this role is critical in coordinating through the use of process control systems, the operation of the production plant, equipment and infrastructure whilst overseeing compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes, to ultimately achieve safe and optimal production outcomes.

This role is based at Olympic Dam and offered on an 8/6 FIFO roster (ex-Adelaide).

In this role you will:Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your teamCoordinate and reschedule the week 0 schedule where required to maintain alignment between Development and other functionsContribute to the development of the week+1 schedule, in consultation with Operational functionsIdentify and implement Execution improvement opportunities with support from Production Analysis & Improvement (A&I)Build cross-functional relationships with the Operational sub-functions to support the delivery of production.Provide expertise and guidance to the Development and Planning teams in developing and delivering the schedule. Provide input to Production A&I for process control system configuration and updates.Deliver fleet optimisation advice to the Execution Supervisor to support delivery of the week 0 scheduleMonitor real time production status and allocates resources to execute the daily plan through the use of process control systems

About You

  • Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in safety leadership
  • Previous experience in a similar role is expected with supervisory experience advantageous
  • Experience in the mining and minerals processing industries is essential
  • Exposure working with relevant underground equipment
  • Previous supervisory experience, in a similar role is desirable
  • Solid background in underground Production
  • Demonstrated ability to build cohesive and collaborative relationships at all levels and cross departments
