About the role

To create visualisations for performance and compliance reporting for Commercial globally for BHP. Reporting to the Operational Reporting Lead, you will be responsible to understand key Commercial metrics and data, build wireframes and visualisations to ensure ease of access and understanding for all end users in a structured and governed way. 

This work includes a focus to improve understand many data sources, and methods of extract, transform and load (ETL), produce quality visualisations and add value to the end-users through enhanced outputs and analysis, whilst maintaining the reports in accordance with any variation in spec due to process changes or shifting requirements of the business.  Adapting to new technologies and methods of ETL will require adaptability to change in this role.

Demonstrates and instils an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.

Ensure alignment with and compliance to internal controls including the BHP Charter and Code of

Business Conduct, Group Level Documents, Functional Level Requirements, agreements, systems, standards and procedures.

Produce and publish daily, weekly and monthly reports for local and global functions and teams   Connect visualisations to data connections through information links, SQL, BI queries or through manually updated data sources.

Apply innovative ETL techniques to improve how we source and present data sustainably. Effective troubleshooting of data integrity issues, reconcile between multiple data sources, ability to communicate to many stakeholders simply and respectfully.

Ability to work effectively in a diverse and globally dispersed virtual team environment, guiding and supporting team members

About You

About you
  • Have Marketing or Procurement or Maritime & Supply Excellence or Warehousing, Inventory and Logistics background or experience
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborated with multiple smaller groups of internal stakeholders or middle management level
  • High proficiency in SAP environment
  • High proficiency in TIBCO Spotfire (Information Designer), AWS Redshift and Microsoft Excel
  • Expertise in SAP Business Object , OASis desirable
  • High proficiency Cloudera, SAP Analytics Cloud or Tableau or Power BI is desirable
  • Preferred: Computer Science, Technology, Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Software Engineering
