About the role

Poitrel Mine Site is seeking two qualified Diesel Fitters to join the Maintenance Department. These roles will report to the Maintenance Site Supervisor.  In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance, trouble shooting / diagnostics and fault finding of all mobile field equipment  Including disassembling, assembling of machinery and components and routine servicing of all equipment both workshop and in the field. 

All tasks will be completed in a safe and efficient manner complying with all relevant standards and safety regulations to ensure all planned and breakdown maintenance targets are met with regards to safety, cost and volume. Actively participating in tool box talks and safety meeting.

Newly trade qualified Diesel Fitters along with experienced trade qualified Field Fitters with with OEM experience would be highly advantageous.

In this unique role you will work across the maintenance department functions to ensure all maintenance  activities are performed to the highest standards. The roster on offer is an attractive 7 days on / 7 days off, day shifts only.

About You

To be eligible for these opportunities it is essential that you have the following: 
  • A Diesel Fitter trade qualification
  • OEM experience – as highly regarded
  • A EWP licence, Working from Heights and Confined Spaces authorisations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working within a Mine Site environment
  • Solid work management and planning work ethic, driving a pro-active and planned maintenance work methodology
  • Prior SAP experience would be highly desirable
  • A current C class license and
  • Able and committed to becoming an in-house electrical nominee.

Energetic and driven, you work well with challenges, bringing attention to detail and an ability to meet multiple deadlines. You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build strong working relationships.
