About the role

We are seeking a highly-motivated Electrical Coordinator to join our high-performing Broadmeadow team, as a permanent team member.  Reporting to the Superintendent of Maintenance based on site, this primary focus of this role is to provide assist maintaining the diesel and electrical equipment part of the underground coal mining operations.

Key responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute maintenance on Electrical underground equipment;
  • Execute gas monitoring system advances and changes using Ampcontrol and Trolex systems; 
  • Execute panel advances to Dupline belt systems, underground phone systems and DAC systems to ensure, a high standard is maintained and production delays are minimized; and 
  • Provide technical fault finding support to underground electricians during breakdowns.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role does not only have experience in an underground mining environment, but also holds the below qualifications:
  • Current electrical equipment in hazardous areas competencies; 
  • Current high voltage switching certification; 
  • S1, S2, S3 and G2;
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Project, CAD; and
  • Minimum 5 years underground coal electrical experience.
