Come and be a part of this success.
About Jansen:The Jansen Potash Project, BHP’s largest and most advanced potash project is about 140km southeast of Saskatoon, where BHP’s Canadian Headquarters are located. Jansen will use the latest technology and subject to approval from our Board, will be the first greenfield potash development in Saskatchewan in over 40 years. We are focused on safety and developing the world’s largest and most efficient potash mine at Jansen while working closely with nearby communities, Indigenous people and governments. We invite you to join us as we work to provide an essential nutrient to feed a growing global population.

About the role

The BHP Potash Engineering Graduate Program is dedicated to the development of our future leaders.  Over two years, you will be embedded within our various teams, with a strong emphasis on the application of new and emerging digital technology.  Our program will gradually increase your accountability whilst providing supplementary skills to put you in the best position for a wide range of roles that underpin our mining business.  This program is part of a global development platform that focuses on collaboration and leadership development.  You will connect with other Graduates in the Americas and Australia to work on case studies in development sessions sponsored by executives.  Guidance from other ex-Graduates and mentoring from senior leaders will also help you identify career path opportunities and increase your visibility within the organization.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline);
  • Experience gained through an internship or job (preferred) in a relevant industry would be an asset, but is not required;
  • Interests in project delivery and the application of digital technology;
  • Global mind-set with ideas for BHP’s creation of long-term social value;
  • Open to a series of one year rotations between our Saskatoon, Jansen Site, and Toronto (Mississauga) offices that may involve deployment within our partners to enrich your experience;
  • Accountability for your own career path, and being open to a wide range of alternatives; and
  • Interest in registering with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a member-in-training.

Supporting a diverse workforce

At BHP, we recognise that we are strengthened by diversity. We are committed to providing a work environment in which everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect. We are an Equal Opportunity employer and we encourage applications from women and Indigenous people. We know there are many aspects of our employees’ lives that are important, and work is only one of these, so we offer benefits to enable your work to fit with your life.  These benefits include flexible working options, a generous paid parental leave policy, other extended leave entitlements and parent rooms.  #LINAReference #161866
