About the role

We are currently seeking experienced Dragline Operators to join our Overburden Department at Saraji Mine Site. This is a rare opportunity to join an industry leader in central Queensland on an even time roster. Reporting to the Supervisor Production, these permanent opportunities will see you operate mine site machinery at a high level of skill and ability to maintain safe operating practices as a priority.Essential requirements of the role include:

• Current Dragline skill is a mandatory requirement to apply
• Holding a current Black Coal Competencies in conducting Dragline and Dozer operations
• A strong commitment to ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A focus on team-work
• A sound technical knowledge and experience in equipment operation
• It is desirable that applicants also possess additional Black Coal competencies in operating Support Equipment (Cable Reeler and Cable Tractor and Grader)
• Willingness and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance for mine working procedures.

• Compliance with relevant mine safety procedures, safe operating procedures and safe work instructions and safety legislation
• An ability to work and communicate well in a team environment
• A proven ability to meet production targets
• Previous experience working in an open cut coal mining environment
• The adaptability to operate to changing work conditions and required mining techniques
• Compliance and knowledge with relevant mine site safety procedures, safe work instructions, standard operating procedures, legislation and rules
• The willingness and availability to work an even time lifestyle roster
• A positive and energetic nature and
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), as advantageous but not essential.
