About the role

Reporting to the Geology Supervisor, you will join a committed team that is motivated to deliver the next ore deposit to Nickel West. The role of Exploration Geologist is team oriented with accountabilities including geological data collection, QAQC, drill hole tracking, lab liaison, project management, target generation and geological modelling. This opportunity provides the chance to develop your exploration skills in the Agnew-Wiluna Belt - a world class nickel-sulphide province that is highly prospective.

Location
Nickel West Leinster
Nickel West Leinster is loc 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.  The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.  The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, race-course and even an 18 hole golf course.  As part of our commitment to health and safety Nickel West Leinster.

About You

  • An overriding commitment to health, safety environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
  • Bachelor of Science majoring in geology
  • Two-years’ experience as an exploration geologist
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Exposure to 3D software, in particular Leapfrog Geo highly regarded
  • Exposure to ArcGIS and acQuire highly regarded
  • A full current manual driver’s license
