Nickel West Perth:A member of the BHP Group, Nickel West produces nickel in-concentrate and has its operations located throughout Western Australia - comprising mines, concentrators, a smelter and a refinery.Nickel West Perth operates from City Square located in the heart of the Perth CBD.  The building itself reflects the latest thinking in corporate workplace design and facilities with the centerpiece of the development being a 45 storey tower which is home to the other BHP group of companies in Western Australia.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proactive accounting professional to join the Nickel West Finance Function. Based out of our Perth office this role will look after a Nickel West operation and will report directly into the Principal Business Partnering (South) for Nickel West. 

The primary purpose of this role will be to provide commercial and financial support through provision of financial analysis to drive improved financial performance and facilitate well-informed decisions.

Site travel will be required in order to partner successfully with our Site Management Team.
This role will:
  • Perform the end to end management accounting function for the operation;
  • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Compile detailed budgeting and forecasting, as well as performance reporting and insights;
  • Perform detailed analytics providing insight to drive value.

About You

  • Experience in a commercial or finance environment with a proven track record in business analysis;
  • Proven ability to develop strong and trusting relationships with multiple stakeholders;
  • Finance/Commerce Degree qualified (CPA / CA preferred but not essential).
  • Advanced excel desirable.

Personal qualities that you bring will include innovative thinking, strong communication and influencing skills, and well developed financial analytical skills.
