About the role

We are seeking diverse and talented individuals to take on this exciting role of a Fixed Plant Technician within our Fixed Plant Operations Team at Eastern Ridge.

This role will be a combination of the traditional processing production technician and trades assistant now working as the Fixed Plant Technician.

Your role will be to carry out SME machine operation (Cat 992 and Cat 785), auxiliary machine operation (excavator, loader, bobcat), Fixed Plant inspections, housekeeping activities, fault finding, equipment re-set and shutdown preparation tasks. You’ll be adopting the standardised work method while executing the maintenance tasks alongside Fixed Plant Mechanical and Electrical Technicians. 

With this role you have the choice of either being fly-in fly-out from Perth to Newman on a 2 weeks-on 1 week-off, 7 days 7 nights-on 7 days-off roster, FIFO from Perth or residentially based in Newman. 
 
You’ll be working at Eastern Ridge mine site, which is made up of several deposits and contributes to the overall ore production of the Newman Joint Venture hub. The 7,000 strong population of Newman enjoys well-established town facilities including a newly revitalised town centre and sporting facilities.  As a gateway to the Karijini national park, you will be in close proximity to spectacular gorges, water courses and stunningly unique landscapes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a C Class Driver’s licence and be self-motivated with mechanically inclined skills set. A sound Computer Skills is desirable
