About the role

In this role you will be working within BHP’s Well & Seismic Delivery Team to plan and execute offshore Drilling and Completions operations.  The role will be both drilling rig and office based, and is designed to provide newly graduated engineers with valuable early career experience of offshore drilling and completion operations.

Typical responsibilities will be:
  • Designing the well.
  • Planning operations, tracking performance and identifying operational efficiencies.
  • Preparing drilling and completion procedures.
  • Working with Operations Management and Drilling Superintendents to execute the procedures.
  • Daily surveillance of rig activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost effective execution of all operations.

The role will be initially based in Trinidad but will provide opportunities for international assignment subject to project activity.

This position is a grade 8 role.

About You

  • Possess either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • GPA = 3.25 or above.
  • Resident of Trinidad & Tobago holding a valid T&T passport.
  • Excellent interpersonal and grammar skills (both written and verbal).
  • Prior drilling and completion internship experience is preferred.
