About the role

We are creating an onshore hub to bring HR closer to our Assets, enabling a greater experience for our Leaders and Employees. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support through governing and validating the HR data maintained with BHP’s HR systems for the Minerals Australia and Asia business.Reporting to the Lead HR Data Excellence, your key accountabilities will include:
  • Collate, analyse and correct HR data, maintaining integrity across all data sources and data interfaces.
  • Assist in performing compliance checks of organisational and people-related changes for accuracy of HR foundational data.
  • Execute a regular cadence of HR data audits/reconciliation by coordinating with different HR stakeholders and Leaders.
  • Assist in conducting regular HR data cleanse activities to maintain data quality.
  • Support HR team in the governance of HR data maintained in BHP’s HR systems for Minerals Australia & Asia.
  • Support, monitor and communicate updates on the progress of bulk HR data change requests.
  • Assist Leaders with HR data requirements and use of  HR systems.
  • Collaborate in working sessions with Employee Relations / Reward colleagues to understand appropriate terms and conditions, and ensure those are applied to our HR data.
  • Assist in the deployment of relevant regional HR system upgrades and data process improvement projects.
  • Maintain and improve process documentation in collaboration with our team in HR Operations KL & Manila.

About You

As the preferred candidate, you will have 2+ years’ relevant experience in data management or analytics. A degree or relevant qualification in Data Analytics, Human Resources or Business will be well regarded. You are competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Experience with the management and basic understanding of HR requirement and processes preferred.

A strong interest in HR and data-related work is a prerequisite for this position. To be successful in this role, you will have superior analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and demands simultaneously. Experience with foundational data analytics and governance preferred. Crucially, you will be an outstanding problem-solver with a high level of attention to detail.
