The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

About the role

A multi-million dollar investment has been made towards an impressive fleet of brand new mobile equipment, including the market’s latest models of Komatsu electric haul trucks (930E), Atlas Copco drills (PV 271 &D65), Liebherr excavator and caterpillar ancillary equipment.

With a focus on reliability and quality, these field and workshop based Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics will deliver world-class maintenance and be a key drivers in terms of continuously improvement.

About You

In relation to our brand new equipment starting to arrive on the site we are eager to engage with self-motivated and experienced drill fitters and excavator mechanics who have large-scale field and workshop based maintenance experience. Your previous problem solving & diagnostics experience on Komatsu electric drive trucks, Caterpillar ancillary equipment, Atlas Copco drill rigs and Liebherr excavators coupled with your ability to communicate and build strong team relationships will make you an ideal candidate.

A Trade Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Fitting and a valid Driver’s license are essential.
