About the role

BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is Australia's largest metallurgical coal miner and exporter. BMA continues to build upon its strong position within the sector by increasing production at existing operations and identifying strong growth opportunities.We are currently seeking experienced HV Electricians to join our Field Maintenance team at Caval Ridge Mine, Moranbah. This is a rare opportunity to join an industry leader with the option of living local (within 125km of Mine) or FIFO working arrangement from Brisbane/Cairns, you will enjoy a highly desirable work-life balance.In this role you will report to the Field Maintenance supervisor, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and fault finding of all Field Equipment including; Draglines, Electric Rope Shovel as well as, electrical infrastructure, fuel facilities and high voltage reticulation on site in a safe and efficient manner, Complying with all relevant standards and safety regulations to ensure all planned and breakdown maintenance targets are met with regards to safety, cost and volume.

About You

  • Holds current a Grade Electrical License
  • High Voltage Operator Experience highly regarded
  • Experience in heavy industrial, commercial or mining industries
  • Dragline and/or Shovel preventative maintenance and fault finding experience highly regarded
  • Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Competencies highly desirable
  • Hold Elevating Work Platform (EWP) licence, Working from Heights and Confined Spaces highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong work management and planning work ethic, driving a pro-active and planned maintenance work methodology
  • A current C class license and

Energetic and driven, you work well with challenges, bringing attention to detail and an ability to meet multiple deadlines. You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build strong working relationships

  • The willingness and availability to work a 7 On/Off, Day/Night Roster
