The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

About the role

This exciting role will see you have the opportunity to operate a brand new, market leading Komatsu 930E. As part of this role you will be working within a safety focused and inclusive team. The opportunity will suit individuals with a passion for efficient hauling techniques maximising the effectiveness of the equipment, as well as enjoying working outdoors.

These roles are offered as Fixed Term contracts for a period of 3 years; all fixed term employees can take advantage of BHP’ reward programme and benefits scheme.

About You

We are eager to engage with operators who have over 24 months experience in the mining industry operating one, or more of the following Haul Trucks; CAT 785, 789, 793 and Komatsu 830e and 930e or similar.

The ideal candidate for this role would be highly motivated, who is particularly focused on upskilling their equipment knowledge and keen on an opportunity to work on a start-up, open pit environment project. With a keen eye for detail, the successful candidate has a passion for safety and enjoys collaborating in a team.
