About BHP

We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people looking to start their career in mining maintenance to Think Big with BHP.

Indigenous Peoples are critical partners and stakeholders in many of BHP operations both within Australia and around the world. Many of our operations are located on or near lands traditionally owned by or under the customary use of Indigenous Peoples and the long-term nature of our operations allows us to establish long lasting relationships with these Indigenous communities.

Operations Services (OS) is a Production and Maintenance workforce offering permanent roles within BHP – focusing on our people, how we connect and achieve high performance.

We are investing in our team to take your skills and career to places you never thought possible.

This is an exciting time for BHP. Are you ready to make your place?

About the role

OS is excited to announce that we have created new entry level opportunities to develop a maintenance career with BHP.

You will be paid to study whilst working on industry leading equipment. You will have the opportunity to learn about BHP systems and processes, making you work-ready for your first day on site.

Initial training will be undertaken full-time at a training facility in Queensland or Western Australia, which may require candidates to relocate for the opportunity.

You can expect a permanent position and a continual focus on personal development.

About You

We’re looking for people from a broad range of backgrounds who can bring their passion and an interest for a career in maintenance.

Your ideas, suggestions and enthusiasm for team-work and performance will be welcomed. Together we will work to achieve your personal and professional goals.

Ideally, you will have:
  • An interest in problem solving, fixing things and working with your hands
  • Demonstrated knowledge/interest through a hobby or work experience
  • A strong desire to learn and develop a range of new skills
  • Motivation to achieve personal work goals and objectives
  • A teamwork mentality to achieve results
  • A high commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedures

Apply today and be part of the OS family.
