About the role

We are seeking diverse and talented individuals to take on this newly created role of Maintenance Associate across our Maintenance teams at Mt Whaleback and Eastern Ridge operations.

This exciting new entry level role is designed to develop cultured, engaged, and highly skilled, work ready employees with clear pathways to a number of different roles within our Maintenance departments.

We are offering a number of permanent positions, where you will be provided with industry-leading training and mentoring by some of BHP's talented workforce. You will also experience first-rate working conditions with a strong focus on safety, quality, and team work.

Your role will be to carry out a number of tasks including but not limited to:

  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
  • Assisting Maintenance Technicians with all maintenance activities.
  • Required deliveries outside of the workshop.
  • Maintain cleanliness of lay-down areas and workshops.
  • Equipment inspections and pre-starts.
  • Other maintenance generalist duties as required.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, mechanically minded, with an interest in Maintenance.
