About the role

  • Provides technical expertise for the development of Asset Integration strategy, standards, processes, systems and plans for a project\program of major capital projects. 
  • Provides technical expertise for the development of the Project's engineering information model and Asset Modelling systems.
  • Coordinates the development of asset management plans, cost models and reliability models incorporating operating assumptions endorsed by key stakeholders.   
  • Assures engineering data is delivered, checked and incorporated in a timely manner via the EPCM.
  • Governs the as-built Operations blueprint and management of change process. 
  • Provides asset integration and asset modelling expertise as input to value improvement practices. 
  • Identifies potential capital efficiency initiatives and productivity improvements for the project.
  • Ensures that the Project Information Model meets the required standards for transition to operations engineering.
  • Evaluates key learnings, industry leading practice and innovations in asset integration to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Monitors the development of the Project Information Model in conjunction with the Area Manager so that schedule slippage can be monitored and the effects minimized. Looks for opportunities to improve processes.
  • Executes risk and quality management plans to ensure the effective management the project’s asset integration scope of work.

About You

  • Trade or Technical background. Engineer (Mechanical, Reliability, Electrical, or Process) preferred. Trades people with significant experience considered.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred 
  • Master of Business Administration degree preferred 
  • 5+ years’ experience in mining, power, oil & gas, or construction projects (Operational Readiness, Commissioning, or Engineering).
  • 5+ years’ experience in mining operations (maintenance preferred).
  • Familiarity with project handover planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of document control processes, skills and tools. 
  • Knowledge of RAM modeling and Life Cycle analysis techniques.
  • Experience using AWB software.
  • Working knowledge of RCA and FMECA techniques.
  • Experience developing asset management plans.
  • Knowledge of SAP for maintenance management
  • Working knowledge of master data creation and management.
  • Knowledge of Asset Integrity management systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of integrated data-centric engineering design tools, materials management, construction and information management software (Hexagon Smartplant suite) 
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000
