About the role

Reporting to the Head of HR Shared Services, you will be responsible for developing and managing operational excellence initiatives to deliver continuous improvement in the processes, tools methods and capability across the HR Shared Services Function. This will include ensuring process operations are consistently and effectively performed according to established procedures, processes, guidelines and/or best practices. You will be responsible for leading proactive capability in the data and analytics team to drive actionable insights and opportunities that will improve the service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage operational excellence initiatives to drive continuous improvement using Agile and Lean methodologies and strengthening underlying processes for the global HR shared service centres.
  • Establish and work with project teams to ensure that all strategic project work streams are progressing and delivering desired results on time and within budget,
  • Identify new projects, set up agile teams, develop and execute project plans and proactively manage risks and issues
  • Build and maintain key relationships to drive global engagement on key initiatives.
  • Drive strategic quality plans at the operational level in conjunction with the operational excellence group and provide overall quality leadership to the site.
  • Define and implement strategic initiatives to ensure success in the deployment of operational excellence practices by:
  • Developing short and long range strategic business plans to align resources to meet future customer needs and drive superior operating results and maturity
  • Reorienting organisational focus from conventional detection and containment to focus on best-in-class prevention
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to build next generation workforce analytics
  • Manage end to end cost and value realisation of business process improvement projects
  • Drive innovation to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness through identifying opportunities for automation, AI and/or machine learning, and improve productivity and SLA performance
  • Drive rigorous metrics related to the balance score card to evaluate performance and drive reduction in variability/defects in critical business processes

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to be a dynamic, innovative leader with a passion for problem-solving and business and process improvement. We are looking for someone with:
  • Certified qualifications in Six sigma black-belt, master black-belt or degree in Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ability to support organisation transformation and communication efforts which may include certifications, e.g., Capability Maturity Model (CMMI), ISO, Green or Black Belt, etc.
  • Experience in Mentor six sigma and lean projects for their sphere of influence
  • Ability to lead and/or support process improvement teams across a variety of groups and foster a culture of early problem identification, timely resolution and broad based employee engagement
  • Experience in directing and/or support the development and implementation of the organisation's management operating system including the training and coaching of all functional areas on measurement principles, meeting frameworks, visual management, statistical analysis and root cause analysis
  • Experience in developing or maintaining process performance measurements, determining process performance baselines, and statistically analysing metrics to identify areas for process improvement
  • Experience in providing expert guidance to direct planning, control, monitoring and reporting of significant projects and program events
  • Experience in to creating solutions for situations in which analysis requires in-depth knowledge of organisational objectives.
  • A tertiary degree in Human Resources, or equivalent relevant experience
