About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent of Governance and Technical Stewardship (GTS) we have various opportunities in our GTS Control Systems team. This team works with other disciplines and stakeholders to deliver control systems design for projects on site as well as reviewing and governing design by other delivery partners.

The role also involves managing changes to engineering standards, specifications and drawings, verification of modifications and overseeing the operation and maintenance of control system equipment in line with industry best practice.

If you are at a senior or lead level, there are opportunities to provide leadership and direction to the Control Systems team, allocating work, and providing input into the development of budget and capital planning as well as managing risks associated with Control Systems on site.

About You

We are interested in hearing from enthusiastic and driven individuals of all levels who are degree qualified in Electrical, Electronic or Control Systems engineering. Your exceptional stakeholder engagement will foster a collaborative working approach, and with strong problem-solving skills you will deliver expertise to your key stakeholders with a focus on optimisation of Control Systems, processes and practices.

In this residential role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.  The 20,000-strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities.

The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife.  Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.
