About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Modifications and Projects within the Engineering team, you will provide leadership to a team of Project Engineers across all aspects of the project lifecycle from definition to handover. In addition to this your responsibilities will include:
  • Coaching and mentoring employees to deliver on plan and build a high performing team
  • Effective end-to-end management of a portfolio of Projects valued at $10million USD or less per project. 
  • Effectively managing all interferences with all project participants and stakeholders
  • Managing the handover to the Operation / client, ensuring all relevant change control documentation has been updated to as-built status and provided to the Standards & Change Control sub-function
  • Ensuring that specified key deliverables within the projects engaged upon are produced in a timely manner to appropriate quality
  • Engage and manage Consultants and Contractors as required to perform the projects
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans on appropriate projects
  • Ensure compliance with work management activities

About You

We are looking for an energetic, intelligent and humble leader that enjoys new challenges and being able to stretch themselves to deliver outcomes. You will enjoy working with a diverse and broad range of stakeholders and gain enjoyment from developing and leading a team of professionals to deliver on business outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/Project Management are desirable, however not essential. What is more important is your drive to learn and ability to continually improve yourself as an engaging leader. 


With this role you have the choice of either being residentially based in Port Hedland on a 5/2 roster or fly-in fly-out from Perth to Port Hedland on a 5/2 4/3 roster. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.
