Following the successful roll-out of our first fully autonomous haul truck fleet at Jimblebar in late 2017,
The General Manager of Goonyella Riverside Mine site recently made the decision to implement autonomous haulage.
AHA is looking for a Conversion lead to coordinate the mobile equipment conversion works at Goonyella Riverside Mine.

About the Opportunity 

Reporting to Superintendent Maintenance East Coast, this role is responsible for set up of the site infrastructure to suit the conversion works which are anticipated in late February 2020. Once the conversion works are underway you will manage all aspects of the contracts with each vendor involved and the BHP project team who directly report to you. Your team will consist of Crew supervisors, Maintenance Analysis and Improvement and Maintenance Planning. Safe execution of the works and compliance to plan will be the primary focus. It is expected you will attend all required site and project meetings relating to safety, performance and cost.  

Using your well-developed communication and engagement skills, building strong relationships and collaborating with Original Equipment Manufacturers, third party vendors and colleagues will be the key to success in this role.

You will be part of a wider autonomous haulage delivery team for Goonyella Riverside that will deliver in pit and civil infrastructure, complete training programs, site safety and health management system updates and organizational change throughout the autonomous haulage deployment onsite site. This team will be further supported from Brisbane based functional and autonomous haulage streams. This role is site based.

About You

We are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals with:
  • Familiarity with open cut mining operations with a background in Maintenance Execution Role, Analysis & Improvement or Reliability Engineering
  • Autonomous haulage experience within the Mobile Maintenance environments highly regarded
  • Experience building trusted relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers in design and installations
  • Comfortable with change, and the ability to adapt in a fluid working environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills couples with experience developing effective documents, presentations and reports
  • Ability to influence and manage stakeholder in a complex environment
  • 1SAP experience advantageous
