About the role

About the role:The Lead Enterprise & Global Scheduling is responsible for leading the team accountable for preparing, maintaining and optimising Technology’s Forward Schedule of Change (TFSoC). This role is also accountable for the coordination of resources to support delivery of Minor Works demand from Regional teams into Enterprise & Global Services. 

Success in the role is demonstrated by building capability and developing teams to deliver a standardised and repeatable process of standard work as well as creating relationships and processes to progress minor work demands with velocity.

Core Responsibilities
  • For Enterprise & Global, manage the planning and scheduling of executed work, utilising existing tools, operating standards and work management/service management processes to deliver a premium level of support.  
  • Manages, coaches and mentors team members to ensure delivery against performance targets  Leads the Testing (and validation), Change and Release (CAB) ensuring the safe deployment of change to the production environment.
  • Guides planning specialists in the creation and planning of Demand process as per defined scope that enables effective deployment of resources, including personnel, service providers and materials. 
  • Leads the optimisation of work planning and scheduling to reduce waste and increase value adding work. 
  • Manages the creation and communication of the 1-12 week maintenance plan and schedule for Operations Execution. 
  • Guides Specialist in the scheduling of work based on the priority of the event to be performed and associated risk. 
  • Lead the team’s performance ensuring focus on safety, people, production and costs, whilst tracking accountability & transparency of operational performance.
  • Ensures automation has been embraced by the team and continuously improved for both reactive and proactive activities
  • Identifies and implements improvement initiatives collaboratively
  • Builds cross-functional relationships with the Technology sub-functions to support the effective execution of Technology Operations. 
  • Sets performance objectives, and monitors progress against agreed KPIs. Initiates, develops and monitors effective performance management processes. Provides organisational leadership and guidance to promote the development and exploitation of specialist knowledge with the team.
  • Leads team in the reporting of events and hazards in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support the Technology Operating Model

About You

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years relevant leadership experience 
  • Experience in IT forecasting/planning (project or operations)
  • Experience with forecasting and resource planning tools
  • Exposure/experience in Safety ideally in the Mining or the Resources Industry
  • Familiarity of ServiceNow (or familiarity with ITSM tools)
  • Experience in managing a team of people to deliver against a business plan.
  • Experience with performance management
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement and cost effectiveness initiatives
  • Exposure with SAP work management processes
