About the role

The primary purpose of the role is the engineering design and management and delivery of brownfield capital projects. Involvement in operational system strategies and operational project / modifications is critical to being successful in the role.
  • Provide fit for purpose management skills utilizing small and medium project management frameworks based on sound project management practices;
  • Manage the assigned projects from Select through Definition, Execution and Close-out phases; with focus on electrical scope development for: trade-off study, detailed designs and execution work.
  • Provide effective stakeholder engagement through complete project life cycle
  • Complete designs and/or design reviews as required. Develop scope of works for supply and construction.
  • Manage the delivery of multiple projects through internal and external service providers
  • FIFO Leinster and / or Mount Keith

About You

  • Engineering background with proven experience in delivery of small to medium projects in the resources or related industry especially in brownfield operations
  • Electrical engineering degree
  • Exposure to and an understanding of the key elements of project management
  • A good level of knowledge of electrical design requirements and standards for control systems, LV and HV installations
  • An engineering working knowledge in dealing with multi-discipline projects
  • A good understanding of resources based engineering terminology
  • Well-developed process and financial understanding in order to promote and guide stakeholders in project value propositions
  • A safety mindset from development of designs to commissioning and handover

Nickel West Leinster

Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.  The operation sources nickel ore from various ore bodies before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.  The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre and various sporting facilities.  Employees can stay residential or commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or from regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.
