About the role

We are seeking a Lead Project Reporting to join our South Flank project team in the Perth office. Reporting to the Manager Project Services, you will provide specialist advice and execute tasks in the aggregation of information from all Project Services and other functions to deliver integrated analysis and high quality reporting to all stakeholders, with analysis to facilitate well-informed decisions. 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Develops project controls methodologies, strategies and systems for a program/project.
  • Monitors the development of the project controls deliverables in conjunction with the Project Services Manager.
  • Monitoring program/project resource demand.
  • Confirms the adoption and application of the WBS and schedule by Project Management and other functions including Projects Contracts and Procurement, Project Engineering, Construction, and Operations, to develop the WBS and build a schedule.
  • Develops benchmark data and analyse/compare project cost/schedule and performance data.
  • Operates the integrated change management processes for cost, schedule and scope on a project.
  • Understands and can interpret the progress measurement methodology for overall project, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Operations readiness.
  • Develops plan progress curves and histograms in association with the planning and scheduling function and reports actuals against it.
  • Validates that project progress and performance information data is collected routinely and assists in aggregating it for monthly reporting including quality checks and compliance against corporate guidelines.
  • Drives the streamlining and simplification of the hierarchy of project reports, and leverages new technology to improve efficiency of data and information handling.
  • Develop ongoing and consistent project control reporting for the Project Management function.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualifications and strong experience in Quantity Survey, Project Controls or Engineering.   
  • Extensive practical experience in a projects environment for large greenfields and brownfields projects
  • Experienced in both Owners and Contractors project controls functions
  • Ability to implement fit for purpose processes on a wide range of projects. 
  • Demonstrated experience with project management systems & techniques

You are an enthusiastic, confident self-starter who is able to work autonomously and as part of a team. You are competent in data manipulation and model creation in Excel and have the capacity to acquire competence in use of modelling, forecasting and accounting system such as SAP.Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will ensure you are at ease when working with a range of stakeholders, and will enable you to build and maintain relationships.
