About the role

An exciting new role of Learning & Development Content Curator exists within HR Organisation Sustainability team, where you will be a key member of a small, high calibre and collaborative team who are doing amazing work and having fun.

This team is adapt at exploring new technologies and ways of working to continuously grow and deliver the best learning opportunities globally as they skill the workforce of the future. If you want to work in a team that embraces ambiguity, fast-paced activity and crazy ideas than this role could be for you. 

As the Learning & Development Content Curator, you will work with the business to identify learning needs and design engaging and sustainable capability programs to provide individuals and teams with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for their success – now and into the future.

You will be responsible for: 
  • Leading stakeholder engagement to identify and define the competencies required across BHP to realise our strategy and purpose;
  • Designing and deploying data collection methods using a variety of sources and channels to effectively identify target audiences, and their learning needs;
  • Framing the opportunity and provide informed recommendations to senior stakeholders on sustainable, best-fit solutions that address root causes of capability gaps;
  • Leading cross-team projects and draws in SME knowledge to design and curate engaging learning content and deployment models for a range of programs that shape the capability of our functions and operations;
  • Utilising deep technical knowledge on adult learning, design thinking, and systems thinking to develop innovative, multi-channel and scalable solutions that encourage a continuous learning culture, provide a great user experience and measureable impact;
  • Working with business content owners to ensure that learning & development resources continue to provide value, and leads the change for designing innovative and sustainable alternatives;
  • Routinely evaluating the impact of deployment methods to build knowledge of the channels and tactics that work best for specific learner groups, topics and objectives, and incorporates learnings into future initiatives;
  • Developing simple and value-adding resources that enable self-service for customers and peers, and actively seeks feedback for improvement opportunities;
  • Leveraging #OneHR model and contributes to the community of practice to maximise efficiency and maintain stakeholder engagement channels;
  • Sources information from multiple channels to spot trends and stay informed of changes to learning landscape, including emerging technologies, methods and content providers, and readily contextualises and shares knowledge with others; and
  • Acting as trusted advisor and problem solver for strategic challenges related to capability and development, and lifts the capability of others by providing guidance and coaching.

For your success, curiosity, flexibility and growth mindset are essential. Adult learning or human development certification required, and experience in leading change and delivering large projects an advantage.
