About the role

We are looking for an outstanding Maintenance Contracts Advisor to join the Maintenance Department at BMA’s Peak Downs Mine Site for a 12 month fixed term opportunity, working a Monday to Friday roster. In this role you will report to the on site Superintendent Maintenance Contracts and is responsible for supporting Contract/Vendor Owners in the practical implementation of the Contractor Management Framework (CMF) for contractors engaged to perform work on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Contract/Vendor Owner nomination and formal appointment
• Support Contract/Vendor Owners in the execution of their duties as outlined in the Contractor Management Framework
• Develop, complete and maintain work scopes, risk assessments and CMS checklist/SCS documentation in conjunction with stakeholders
• Monitor contract execution to ensure both contractor & site personnel comply with all terms & conditions of the contract
• Lead the monitoring & reporting of contractor projects
• Identify synergies that can be tailored to better suit the business needs
•       On-boarding new vendors (CMS Scope of Work & Risk Register reviews)
•       Auditing of contract partners CMS ensuring compliance to Safety Health Management System
• Provide training for Contract Owners, Supervisors, General Users and Contract Partners
• Coordinating pre-mobilisation, safety and performance and close out meetings
• Monitor, support and sustain contract partners’ compliance to the PDM Safety and Health Management System• Manage Long Term Resource Contractor (LTRC) solution for applicable contract partners in accordance with the ARIS Global Business Process Map
• Review contract partner claims in line with agreement/contract entitlements (mandatory for all LTRC claims, upon request for all other claims)
• Facilitate communication channels for contract partners at site
• Coordinate issues, settlement & disputes with Supply & Contract Owners/Superintendents
• Schedule, facilitate, record and distribute meetings required under CMF routines 
• Document management and record keeping.

About You

You will be able to demonstrate where you have managed contracts in the past and acted as a change agent. Your will have commercial business acumen and experience working in SAP. You will be engaging, able to build strong relationships that will enable you to influence and sell your ideas and findings. You will love a challenge and confident in your ability to challenge others, you will be motivated by a seeing your results and influencing the change in long-term working practices.

To be successful in securing this role, ideally you will have:
• A demonstrated commitment to safety
• Experience in Contract Management, Auditing, Training and/or Financial Analysis with relevant Tertiary Qualifications
• Experience in a project environment where you have tested scenarios for a value proposition coupled with a strong understanding of risk management
• Knowledge of a Site Health Management System (SHMS)
• Well- developed communication, facilitation, influencing and interpersonal skills, essential to building constructive relationships and creditability with stakeholders and
• Hold an S1, S2 and S3 mining competencies, no essential but advantageous.
