About the role

Poitrel Mine Site is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor – Tyres & Infrastructure to join the ONSITE Maintenance Department. In this role you will support the day to day maintaining of non-production equipment including but not limited to overseeing electrical requirements of the on-site buildings, tyres, light and medium vehicle and plumbing planned maintenance tasks to ensure targets are met with regards to safety, volume and cost.

The roster on offer is an attractive 7 on 7 off, day shifts only.

In this role you will:

• Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing & coaching your team
• Coordinate and direct maintenance staff & contractors to ensure safe & efficient execution of maintenance activities carried out on site infrastructure and the Heavy Vehicle Tyre Bay
• Ensure timely resolution of safety issues, providing communication&  consultation of safety related matters with work teams
• Coordinate maintenance activities across shifts and other departments creating maximum value
• Build relationships with other departments and employees to ensure any maintenance issues are addressed  and resolved effectively in a timely manner
• Encourage and promote continuous improvement by constantly looking for opportunities to improve work practices and procedures
• Ensure planned materials, plant and resources are in appropriate place at the appropriate time and
• Facilitate daily pre-start meetings and make field inspections to determine appropriate scopes of work as required

About You

To be successful as a Supervisor, you will have a trade qualification with proven maintenance experience. Your strong focus on safety, drive and passion to lead and develop people to reach their potential will see you succeed in this role. Your people and communication skills are of the upmost importance as well as your relationship skills when liaising, negotiating and influencing a range of internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience with 1SAP will be beneficial.

Our successful candidate will have:

• A High Voltage Electrical Licence is highly desirable • Experience working within a Mine Site environment would be highly Regarded
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong work management and planning work ethic, driving a pro-active and planned maintenance work methodology
• Prior SAP experience would be highly desirable
• A current C class licence and
• Able and committed to becoming an in-house electrical nominee.
