We have an In this exciting new role where you will play a key role in ensuring major maintenance activities are conducted in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner during fortnightly shutdowns.

Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdown Execution, within the Port Maintenance team you will be responsible for ensuring shutdown work management processes are followed.

You will also have the opportunity to develop detailed work scopes, including methodology, duration, resources and cost for the Port Maintenance Major Operating Expenditure program. Detailed planning of major works including car dumpers, apron feeders, conveyor drives, alignment of pulleys/gearboxes, reclaimer machines, stackers and ship loaders.

About You

  • Engineering Diploma in or mechanical trade qualification or similar
  • Maintenance experience or a project management background
  • Dynamic, with ability to function effectively under pressure with ability to effectively prioritise workload and focus on value delivery
  • Energetic and positive attitude with ability to influence multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in the execution, project management and planning fields highly advantageous
  • Minimum of C class manual drivers licence

Port Hedland – Residential

In this residential role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.  The 20,000-strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities. The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife.  Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.
