About the role

Reporting to Head of Group Reporting, this senior Financial Planning and Analysis role is responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information to the executive management and the Board of Directors to enhance their decision making process.

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for consolidated month end, forecasting, 2 Year Budget and 5 Year Plan reporting processes ensuring the delivery of consistent, accurate and timely management information (financial and statistical).
  • Analyse and interpret consolidated Group and Business’ reporting results, including actuals and forecast financial information as well as variance analysis, for delivery to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
  • Focus on group performance including production, unit cost, EBITDA and cashflow analysis, financing activities, working capital management, margin and cost analysis and capex reporting.
  • Strong global relationships with Regional Accounting & Reporting teams (both domestic and international) and Group Functions business partners.
  • Continual interactions with Investor Relations to support half yearly Results Announcements and associated investor presentations.
  • Continual interactions with Treasury particularly in regard to forecast information to support the Group funding and dividend strategy. 
  • Support Portfolio, Strategy & Development requests and assist in providing Group’s consolidated financial results as input into PS&D’ long term strategy papers.
  • Deliver additional ad hoc Group analysis needed to respond to queries from the CFO, Board of Directors and Remuneration Committee.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be able to prioritise and delegate whilst maintaining a high attention to detail.  You will have superior communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, essential to building constructive relationships and credibility with diverse stakeholders and cross functional teams.

Key qualities we are looking for:
  • 10+ years of post professional qualification experience and responsibilities in management reporting in a multi-entity, large international corporate environment, ideally a publicly traded company. 
  • Leadership skills in global multi-cultural environments and ability to lead and manage change; experience working in a regional role will be viewed favourably.
  • Superior communication skills enabling you to converse across detailed system \ accounting issues and surmise them into easy to understand interpretation for senior management.
  • Excellent data analysis, reporting and problem solving skills; experience gained in Mining, Heavy Manufacturing and/or Industrial industry work environments preferred.
