About the role

We are seeking an experienced people leader and subject matter expert in the field of mine water management to fulfill a critical Manager position based in our Perth city location.  

Reporting to the Head of Resource Engineering you will play a vital role in leading the teams responsible for hydrology planning and technical insight, with responsibilities including:  
  • Planning, studies and design for mine dewatering, depressurisation, surplus water management, water supply, and surface water engineering.
  • Ongoing operational direction for dewatering and managed aquifer recharge systems
  • Ensuring the enduring stewardship of water resources 
  • Acquisition of hydrological field data through drilling, testing and monitoring.
  • Water licensing and reporting
  • External engagement on water management with regulatory, community and industry stakeholders
  • Technical contributions to mining studies, environmental approvals and closure planning 

About You

To be successful in this role you will possess:
  • A tertiary qualification in Geoscience, Engineering or Environmental Science, with post graduate study/qualifications in water management or leadership highly regarded
  • Strong experience in mine water management
  • Proven experience in a leadership capacity 

 You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’.
