About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of IT & OT Operation Minerals Americas, this role will be responsible for establishing and leading the team that will manage and improve Technology IT & OT Operations internal processes, in order to align scheduled work and workload with business processes and deliver value by ensuring work is executed efficiently and safely.

In this role you will:
  • Establish, lead, and develop the Minerals Americas Technology Work Management team;
  • Provide inspirational leadership and effective management of the Work Management team, including health and safety, costs and budgeting, workforce development plan, culture plan and continuous improvement plan;
  • Positively influence and shape the culture to ensure an inclusive, diverse, safe, productive, simple and fun workplace for the whole team;
  • Manage the Work Management team’s relationship with stakeholders within Technology organization and operational managers;
  • Lead the identification and management of schedule risks, providing ongoing communications to relevant stakeholders and solution identification including prioritization and realignment of priorities;
  • Ensure that Technology processes and work schedules are executed in alignment with Technology standards and business requirements;
  • Provide leadership, direction and governance to Service Management and Work Management processes and routines;
  • Monitor IT & OT Operations performance and generate reports to different levels of stakeholder.
  • Encourage Zero Harm philosophy.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a degree-qualified engineer with experience in IT/OT Operations or Maintenance Service Management.

You have successfully led high performing teams on delivering executable schedules or you are driven to take this next step in your career.

We are also considering candidates with background in productive processes or telecommunications.

You will also have:

  • The ability and desire to coach and mentor your team to ensure optimal delivery against performance targets.
  • Well-developed communication skills, in English and Spanish.
  • A proven ability to effectively manage and engage with a large and diverse work group, support and promote a culture where it is Safe to Speak Up.
  • Ability to work across different stakeholders.
  • At least 7 years’ experience and knowledge in project/group management in Maintenance of productive plants or telecommunications networks.
  • Familiarity with Work Management concepts and experience in SAP Maintenance.
  • At least 7 years’ experience leading teams and third-party vendors.
  • At least 5 years’ experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Good understanding of safe maintenance processes and the maturity levels of a maintenance organization.
  • Familiarity with ITIL is desirable.
