About the role

This role within the Fixed Plant Maintenance Team at Yandi offers a fantastic learning opportunity on a family friendly 8/6 fly-in-fly-out roster. Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdown Execution you will be responsible for ensuring effective shutdown equipment preparation; mobilisation and demobilisation of resources required to support the execution of the approved shutdown scope, effectively enabling the delivery of safe, productive shutdown durations.
As Material Logistics Coordinator Shutdowns you will be in the fortunate position of developing your skills and experience from the outset, receiving on the job  training and support from our experienced team, whilst supporting best practice shutdown preparation and close out processes across WA Iron Ore Mines to significantly improve shutdown execution predictability and reduce shutdown duration.
Yandi is located approximately 170kms North of Newman West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, squash, tennis and basketball courts, golf driving range, mini golf, netted cricket pitch, beach volleyball court and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, internet, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
You will be working alongside a committed and outcome focused team who are passionate about the work they undertake every day and support each other all the way.

There are a few desirables that would support your application such as; strong computer literacy; experience in warehousing and/or fixed plant environment in a similar remote environment; experience operating a forklift and telehandler. As a pre-requisite you must have a Full C Class driver’s licence.
