About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent of Fixed Plant Reliability Maintenance, this Mechanical Reliability Engineer role will ensure optimal reliability of the fixed plant mechanical equipment and adherence to work plans and statutory requirements. Whin this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, reviewing and updating Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) work strategies for production critical plant equipment including classified plant, protection equipment and bulk material handling mobile equipment (Stackers and Reclaimers). You will also be implementing condition based maintenance practices, data acquisition and analysis equipment, monitoring wear in chutes, bins etc. and developing operating improvements to prolong wear package life.Some of your other duties will include:
  • Implementing and monitoring lubrication programs and lubrication contamination control equipment and practices
  • Conducting root cause failure analysis investigations and defect elimination projects
  • Initiating and providing input to the modification of engineering and equipment standards
  • Provide organisational governance in the application of 1SAP processes and promote understanding and compliance to 1SAP principles

About You

To be considered for the role, you must be a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with extensive reliability engineering experience in the resources industry ideally on fixed plant equipment with the focus on conveyor capability.To be successful in this role you have extensive knowledge of Australian standards and previous experience in: conveyor related maintenance, root cause analysis, SAP and equipment monitoring software (eg. PDS), running small projects and desirably have strategy optimisation exposure during start-ups. In addition, you should have strong demonstrated stakeholder management skills and ideally you will have experience in maintenance strategies, continuous improvements, lean methodologies, standardised work and 1SAP. What we offer you
