About the role

The role will involve being an active team leader, providing support to the requirements of the work of the onsite Maintenance team, by adhering to operating requirements and striving for the achievement of the team and Mine Site Operations objectives.  

It is the role of the Supervisor Maintenance Hoist to:

  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to working in and promoting a healthy, safe, environmentally responsible and sustainable workplace
  • Provide guidance and direction to properly use Hoist resources to maximise benefit to the Mine Site Operation
  • Direct planned and unplanned maintenance activities for the on shift Hoist team
  • Assist in resolution of Hoisting issues affecting equipment performance and availability
  • Review and update Hoist schedule plans and equipment history
  • Adhere to and execute work as per 1SAP work management process
  • Supervise and coordinate Contractors as required
  • Complete job scoping and notification creation
  • Communicate plant status to appropriate persons / departments
  • Be flexibility to accept Reactive Tasks as they occur and
  • Work in with Mining Departments to determine priority changes and work to achieve targets.

Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7  on / 7 off, days/nights (alternate)  roster pattern arrangement, FIFO options may also be available.

About You

To ensure your success in this role you will have:
• Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way.
• A Suitable trade qualification and relative industry experience
• Previous and strong leadership experience
• Proven ability to drive and direct culture in conjunction with other team supervisors
• Previous experience in functional area is desirable, but not essential. 
• Proven ability to demonstrate appropriate HSEC behaviours and
• Ability to work effectively within the Olympic Dam operations and functional teams.
