About the role

We are currently seeking a Mine Utility to join our team at Cliffs. The successful individual will work in a variety of roles including but not limited to; using 1 SAP to order materials and delivering underground, laundry, explosive stock take and magazine keeper duties. This role involves work both above and below ground on a family friendly roster working 7D6X7N8X. 

Reporting to the Supervisor Mining Production you will demonstrate the following:
  • Overriding commitment to BHP Billiton Charter, health, safety, environment and sustainable development
  • Family friendly 7x7 roster flying in and out of Perth (dayshift and nightshift required)
  • Contributing to our safety and continuous improvement culture
  • Work effectively with other team members
  • Maintain a high level working knowledge of safety processes

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
  • Minimum C class Driver’s Licence, HR Driver’s Licence preferred
  • Experience in a mining operations environment is highly desirable;
  • Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP (advantageous but not essential);
  • Motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and engage in team operations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes
  • Strong orientation to safe work practices – High safety focus

Nickel West Cliffs

 Nickel West Cliffs is located approximately 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.  Cliffs underground Nickel Mine is an integral part of Nickel West Leinster comprising of a nickel concentrator and dryer, located 12 kilometres south of Nickel West Mt Keith. Employees at Cliffs reside at the Mt Keith village,  some of the amenities at your disposal include internet connection, outdoor swimming pool, health and fitness equipment, indoor cricket, basketball court, BBQ areas plus and arrange of social activities.
