We are currently looking for four qualified and experienced hands on Mobile Maintenance Team Leaders (Leading Hands) to join our underground mobile maintenance team at Leinster. Reporting to Underground Mobile Maintenance Supervisor and working in a fully equipped underground workshop, you will be responsible for Step up leadership which includes directing work priorities for preventive and breakdown maintenance of all underground mobile maintenance plant. You will also be working with the highest priority to safety at all times, striving to complete work within agreed timeframes and in doing so, supporting Leinster by being industry leaders in maintenance.

About You

  • Trade Qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician;
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the underground mining environment;
  • Well established previous history working on Underground equipment such as Caterpillar Loaders, Atlas Copco MT6020 trucks and Sandvik & Atlas Copco drill rigs;
  • High level of computer literacy, preferably accompanied by 1SAP experience;
  • A current "C" Class driver’s license or national equivalent; and
  • Strong orientation to safe work practices, demonstrating a "can do" attitude.

Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.
