About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mobile and Field Maintenance Planner at our BMA Daunia Open Cut Mine.  Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, this role involves preparing detailed weekly maintenance plans and schedules of work for Mobile and Field equipment to enable cost effective and reliable operations whilst meeting standards for safety, environment, and quality.

This role will be site based at BMA’s Daunia Mine in Central Queensland working a 4 days on, 3 days off roster. FIFO out of Brisbane or Cairns, DIDO or residential options are available.

The core responsibilities are as follows

  • Optimise labour and materials during site planning/scheduling periods
  • Coordination of weekly  pre-read and pre-scheduling meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure the integrity of the SAP PM Module data i.e. maintenance plans and task lists
  • Provide assistance to develop and review existing maintenance procedures and work instructions
  • Monitor and report on performance against maintenance KPI's and performance metrics
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with the maintenance team and colleagues and
  • Assist the Maintenance Superintendents with budget preparation and forecasts.

About You

Our successful applicant will require strong process discipline and adherence to systems and frameworks, along with thorough job analysis and planning detail. You will need to apply technical knowledge and understanding of the onsite mobile and field equipment and maintenance practices to develop fully resourced work plans. You will be champion of stakeholder engagement, communication, organisation and team work.

  • Previous experience in an open cut mining maintenance planning role is required
  • Prior experience in a mining or process industrial environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computing skills, including experience in using Maintenance Databases, with SAP experience and/or formal GSAP module training preferred
  • Scheduling software experience such as MS Project as would be an advantage
  • Computer skills and experience with the Microsoft suite of programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
