Operations Services

Operation Services (OS) was established with the single goal of focusing on front line operators and maintainers. Operations Services is completing work previously performed by service contractors and is providing permanent employment to a growing team of more than 2000 employees. With an emphasis on career development, OS offers permanent employment which focuses on people, connection and performance. These positions include flexible working arrangements and full leave entitlements, incorporating:
  • Annual Leave
  • Personal Leave, and
  • Parental Leave.

About the role

We are currently recruiting experienced Excavator & Shovel Operators to join our teams across Central Queensland. OS has smaller teams so you can expect a real authentic connection to your supervisor and your peers, with a passion to deliver high quality work with a genuine focus on safety. You can also expect:

We are looking for people with experience operating: 
  • Excavators - 996, 9800, 3600, 5500, 5600, 6060
  • Shovels - 4795 
Similar machinery will be considered and there may be opportunity to upskill and cross skill across the fleet.
Travel: Transportation to site is provided from nominated point’s specific to each team, this will be discussed during the recruitment process. OS is also offering a direct self-funded flight via Hevilift from Townsville to Moranbah and we encourage local residents to apply for these permanent job opportunities.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to one of our upcoming virtual Engagement Centres. 
 

About You

  • Experience operating Excavator and/or Shovels
  • Understand and practice that safety is paramount
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic and proud of your work
  • Keen to learn and a willingness for self-improvement
  • Ability to work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure
  • Effective listening and well developed interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive reading and writing skills
